Company History and Background
staff was founded in 1997 by Jannie and Lars Schacksen based on the fundamental idea of designing and producing fashionable clothing for women 25 years and up.
Development moved quickly in the direction of the clothes acquiring a high degree of sophistication, and their many design details were soon in demand in the fashion industry. This demand for the clothes, was the deciding factor in the staff collections acquiring their present style and appearance, and resulted in their focussing exclusively on the fashion-conscious and slightly avant-garde woman.
Now, as then, the collections are made of natural fabrics of a high quality with the focus very much on details such as embroidery, stitching, necklines and other characteristic features.
staff has grown rapidly since the company was established and was chosen by Børsen, Denmark's leading business daily, as a Gazelle Company in the County of Aarhus three years in a row (2001-2003).
The staff collections are sold in leading stores throughout Denmark, as well as being exported to Norway, Sweden, Greenland, Iceland, Faroes, Germany, Ireland, United Kingdom, Spain, Switzerland, France, Holland, Australia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Dubai, among other places.
staff wants to be in close dialog with our customers with a view to obtaining the most direct feeback possible with regard to our collections. staff also has two stores of its own. One is located on Købmagergade in Copenhagen, while the other, which can be found on the pedestrian precinct in Skagen at Denmark's northernmost tip. In foreign countries we have staff shops in Norway, France, Holland, Dubai, Bahrain and in Kuwait.
